Assembly & Installation Guide

Our furniture is designed to be assembled at home using the step-by-step printed assembly manual included in each package. Follow the instructions carefully to make assembly easier, achieve a stable and well-aligned finish, and enjoy your furniture for years to come.

1. Unpacking Your Furniture

Our products are shipped in unbranded, five-layer Kraft cardboard packaging to help protect the furniture during transit.

Inside the package, you will find:

  • Numbered wooden parts: Each furniture component is numbered on its edge to match the corresponding number in the assembly manual.
  • Hardware pack: A pack containing the required fittings and hardware for assembly.
  • Printed assembly manual: A step-by-step guide showing the parts, fittings, and assembly sequence. The manual and hardware pack are enclosed together in a plastic bag.

Before starting, carefully unpack all components and check that the wooden parts and fittings correspond to the parts list in the manual.

Open the package on a clean, soft surface, such as a rug, carpet, or flattened cardboard box, to help prevent scratches and damage.

2. Prepare Your Tools and Workspace

Choose a clean, spacious area with enough room to lay out the components and assemble your furniture safely.

Tools you should have:

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Hammer

These tools are not included in the hardware pack and must be provided by the customer.

A cordless power drill may also make assembly easier, particularly when preparing pilot holes. Use it carefully at a low torque setting to avoid damaging the panels or fittings. A rubber mallet can be helpful when fitting wooden dowels.

For larger furniture, such as sideboards, TV units, bookcases, and wardrobes, we recommend having two people available for safer and easier assembly.

3. Follow the Assembly Manual

Each product comes with its own printed assembly manual. The wooden parts and hardware fittings are numbered to help you identify the correct components at every step.

For a smooth assembly process:

  1. Lay out the wooden parts and hardware fittings before you begin.
  2. Match the numbers on the parts and fittings with those shown in the manual.
  3. Follow the illustrated steps in the order provided.
  4. Check the orientation of each panel and make sure the pre-drilled holes are aligned correctly.
  5. Insert fittings carefully and tighten screws only until they are secure. Avoid overtightening, as excessive force can damage the panels or strip the screw holes.
  6. Check that the furniture is straight, level, and properly aligned before completing the final tightening.

If something does not fit as shown, stop and recheck the part number and orientation. Never force a component into place.

4. Assembly Videos and Online Support

For selected products, we provide assembly videos to help you follow the process visually.

5. Installation and Furniture Safety

Once assembly is complete, position your furniture carefully and follow these safety recommendations.

  • Secure tall furniture: Bookcases, wardrobes, tall shelving units, and other tall furniture must be secured to the wall using a suitable anti-tip bracket or strap. This is especially important in homes with children or pets.
  • Use appropriate wall fixings: Wall-mounted shelves, floating TV units, and wall hooks must be installed with fixings suitable for your wall type. The supplied fixings should only be used for the wall types specified in the product instructions. If you are unsure, consult a qualified installer.
  • Respect weight limits: Check the stated maximum load for shelves and TV units. Distribute weight evenly and avoid exceeding the recommended limits.
  • Level the furniture: Adjust the feet where provided to help keep the unit stable, particularly on uneven floors.
  • Avoid climbing: Never stand, sit, or climb on furniture unless the product is specifically designed for that purpose.
  • Check stability: Before use, make sure all fittings are secure and the furniture is stable.

6. Furniture Care and Maintenance

A little care helps keep your furniture looking good and functioning properly.

  • Clean surfaces with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry them immediately.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh solvents, and prolonged exposure to moisture.
  • Use coasters or mats to protect surfaces from hot items, spills, and moisture.
  • Keep furniture away from prolonged direct sunlight to help reduce fading or discolouration.
  • Check the fittings periodically, at least once a year, and tighten them if necessary.

Please note that damage caused by improper use, inadequate maintenance, or prolonged exposure to water may not be covered by the warranty, subject to the applicable warranty terms and consumer rights.
